Do I have the right controller for my ozone unit???

A member of RC sold an ozone unit and controller to me recently. He said that the controller was a Milwaukee ORP controller that he had been using with his ozone unit. The controller is: Milwaukee SMS 122 pH Controller. I know that changes in ORP will cause a fluctuation of the pH of the tank water, but is this controller appropriate to use in conjunction with the ozone unit or did I get screwed?

ORP and PH are different... it should be an ORP controller...

you have a PH monitor / controller for a calcium reactor. You need an ORP monitor.

Ummm...if he was using a pH controller to control his ORP/ozone, then has wasn't controlling ORP/ozone.

You have the wrong controller.

And if he didnt know whether he needed (or even had) a pH controller or an ORP controller, he probably had no business using Ozone
