Do I need a UV sterilizer for a reef tank?

I'm setting up a 75 with overflow. Do I need a uv? Also, should I purchase a refugium or make one. If so, how? Thanks.

No, and I would not recomend one. It may be useful on your Quarintine tank though.

Not bad, a bit small to be very effective, but packageing concerns often lead to compromises.

yeah, i wouldnt really recommend using a UV sterilizer, the way i figure is if your going to spend 150 on UV then you might as well save the money and set up a 15g quarintine tank. Also about the fuge, I would make one out of a standard 15 or 20 gallon tank, drill a hole in it for a 1 inch bulkhead, set it higher than your main tank or sump, pump water into it from either your sump or main tank (whichever is lower) and drain water back into the sump or tank through the bulkhead. Hope that makes sense, but if not let me know and ill will draw a picture or something.
