Do I start my QT time over

I had a issue with Ich in my 125g tank. So I dropped all fish into a QT tank on Feb 3rd and started dosing them with copper. Well on Valentines day I bought a mated pair on Mandarins from my LFS. Well I found them dead today and Im not sure why. But my question is since I had the tank 11 days with no fish, introduced the Mandarins and then they died does this constitute me starting my Ich QT cycle over. So even thought the mandarins shouldn't have gotten Ich because of their slime coat should I start my QT cycle again and wait another 6 weeks before putting the fish in the QT back in my display. Thanks.

Yes, start over. And mandarins are not immune to ich, just less susceptible.

You said you were treating qt with copper. Did you put the mandarins in that tank? They shouldn't be treated with copper.

No I did not put my Mandarins in copper, I know better than that.
