I was at my LFS this morning to see a Leather Tree Coral that I've had my eye on. It is about 9 inches tall.
When I got there shortly after the store opened this morning, the coral was bent / doubled over completly and the tips were touching the sand. The owner told me that the tank lights had not been on for long, and the coral did not have a chance to open up. He told me that this coral does this every night.
I went back later in the afternoon and the coral was standing up.
Is this normal behavior for a soft leather tree coral?
