My Frogspawn and Duncan corals have been in my tank for about 2 months. I never really inspected closely when I first added them. They were just small guys. Now that they have been growing, I've taken a closer look at their skeletal base. I don't recall them being as dark as they are now. I've included some photos, and hope that they are clear enough for you folks here at RC to observe the dark base. My Duncan did have that receding tissue when I bought it.
Both corals look healthy and are growing quite well. Both have developed additional mouths. Frogspawn has two now, and the Duncan has sprouted 3 new mouths. They both have good coloring considering that I need to upgrade my light fixtures.
Do the bases of both corals look normal? I know that my Frogspawn looks washed out, but he definitely is green with mauve tips. It's just the angle of which I had to take the photo from. Thank you for your input.
