Do Nems (Haddoni) benefit from actinics

...or is it just for appearance?

Its time to replace the bulbs on my clown/nem tank and am deciding if I should ditch the actinic for another 50/50 daylight or 10k (65w PC)

I dont care much about the appearance... just my critters health and happiness.

Actinics are primarily for appearance. 7500K-10000K will provide the highest PAR for PCs. Just curious, how many 65 w PCs do you have and how far is the haddoni from the lights? PCs don't penetrate very deeply into the water, so I would want the anemone to be no more than 15 inches from the lamps.

Less than 12 inches. Its a shallow tank (12.5) with a deep sand bed (4 in) and the lights are only 3 inches from the water surface.

2 65w PCs.

Yeah, haddoni are less light demanding than some host species from what I understand. I would say it's advisable to change the bulbs every 8-9 months or so and stick with the daylights, as they provide higher PAR with PCs.
