Do Peppermint Shrimp bother LPS?

Awhile ago I had a cleaner shrimp in the same tank as my lps coral, I ended up taking him out of the tank because when I fed my coral, such as my candy cane coral, the shrimp would try to pick at the candy cane to get the food. This was all after the coral had already closed up to digest. I have a little aipstasia(sp?) problem, and Id rather try the natural way to get rid of them (peppermint shrimp), rather than using chemicals. Ive heard that some people have problems with peppermints agitating their coral. Anyone think it would be worth getting one?
Thanks

On my old tank, I would hand feed the shrimp before the corals, worked 90% of the time.

I have 2 of them in my tank and I haven't had any problems with them. I also have a 2 candy cane's and in the 2 months I have had them there hasn't been a problem. Candy Cane's get most of their food form the water column and lights. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I have 2 pepermint shrimp and 3 different candy canes. They never come pick on the candy canes. They seem alot more shy than the my other to shrimp (skunk cleaner and firered).

They do rip up some zoanthus ,micromussa, stlyopora and acanastrea from time to time in my experience.

I had one and it popped the bubbles on my hammer coral and I kept him pretty fed didnt seem too do much its hit or miss i dont trust em

peppermints are hit and miss as far as what they bother. I have one that loves to eat feather dusters and frogspawn, but wont touch aptasia

agreed. peppermints are hit or miss. if you would like a "natural" alternative, a syringe with kalk paste or lemon juice works well and is more easily controlled.

I have a friend in my local club who borrowed some to handle some glass anemones and they have killed off his acan collection including an expensive frag I just sold him and another expensive frag...

But I've heard people who haven't had a problem so who knows...

I have an army of about 30 of them in my 90 gallon reef, the only thing they have ever killed besides aiptasia is Anthelia. I added some once and they went for it immediately. They pulled it into a cave on the bottom and killed it.

my peppermints destroyed a catspaw and a birdsnest...

but you can add the peppermints and then add a hawkfish after they finish their job
