just got one and it seems to have moved to the back. I got it fri and was out the first and second day but for the past few it has decided to hide. Is this normal?
Thanks,
derek

Yes it is normal. As long as all you tank parameters are ok, it is either finding its happy place, or adjusting to its new surroundings. just a Leave it be.

IMO, it isn't completely normal, but normal if you have increased the amount of lighting it is getting.

Do you know what lights it was under?

What lights is it under now?

Did you (( are you )) acclimate it to your lights?

Todd, I should have been more clear, and said it can happen with regard to the lighting.

Wasn't trying to find fault with your post -- sorry if it came off that way. When I used "normal" I was taking it from the OP's post, should have quoted him.

i believe it was under a 25o but not sure which k rating. Mine is a brand new 250 pheonix 14k that i just decreased to 4 hrs for now.

The rbta went from one tank to another then to mine in 3 days time. It was established in the first tank for a year+.

Seems to still be inflating in the day and deflates a little at night when lights have been off for a while.

How do you acclimate an anem to lights?

From a post I made in another thread....

I have always used layers of window screening.

I start off with 3 layers (( supported by egg create )) and remove a layer every 5-7 days. Never had any ill effects with existing corals/anemones in the tanks while doing this.

This is what I am talking about (( ignore the oversized light, hadn't gotten my new light when this picture was taken --- same wattage, just a smaller fixture ))

While I still want to take pictures of this over the tank, the following pictures should give an idea of how much it will block.

And this is a picture of just the egg create --- this was for my 33 cube, the cut outs in back were for the overflow and return pipes.
