Do reidis eat hermits

I just had to pull a hermit crab out of the mouth of my seahorse. It got stuck and it tryed to eat but could not suck in the food. I held it in my hand under water and poped it out with a pin. Then he started to eat. I had 2 hermits in there i took the other one out. He looks ok well see tomorrow.

i've had two reidi's for 8 months w/ crabs...no problems for me

I have had certain reidis stalk and try to snick up the micro hermits. Two of mine out of six. They haven't had much success at it though. I have heard of rare instances where a seahorse would snick at even a larger hermit over and over to kill and eat it. I think this is an exception though, rather than a rule.
