Do White Spots always mean Ich

Well I bought a new FoxFace Lo at the pet store today and it looked great under their light and was very active but when I got it home I noticed about 3 little white specks on him. I was just wondering if the specks always mean ich or if it could be something else harmless just due to transport or whatever. I am feeding him formula 1 with garlic and going to get some formula 2 with garlic as well and am feeding marine algea. I was just wondering if there was any other way to boost the immune system so he can fight the ich if he has it.

Garlic, immune boosters, vitamins, and other potions don't help the fish when it comes to Marine Ich (Cryptocaryon irritans) Read this thread for some background:

White specks don't always mean MI. You need to know what to look for as soon as you can so you can make the call. OR. . .If you want us to help, post a clear, closeup photo of your fish so we can see the specks.

A good immune booster for stressed fish includes vitamins and beta glucan. The latter is available at health food stores.
