do yellow cucumbers move?

hello all,i have had a yellow cucumber for about a month(give or take) before i put it in the tank,i read they like a lot of flow,so i put it up front in the middle about half way up in the tank.it hasnt moved at all,it appears healthy,its little branches unfold to eat ect.it just hasnt moved.is this common if they like the spot they are in?

i placed mine in the sandbed. i've never see it move, it just shows up from time to time in a different spot.

I have a pink and green and its stayed in the same place I put it. I dont think they move if they are getting food where they are, and thats really antwhere in an aquarium.

hmm,im not sure what to think about it then,i left for about an hour,when i came home it had released its upper half of its body from the rock and is now just dangling in the flow with its little branches sticking out for food.maybe it just really likes the flow it gets from where its at.anyone know if yew cucumbers tend to like/dislike lots of light.(just curious if that has anything to do with why/when they move) thx

thx Javeo,i think thats what i was looking for,i wasnt too worried,i mean it active as far as eating and stuff,just doesnt move......hopefully just a sign of being happy

No problem. Filtering cukes dont really move at all, their almost sessile. On a side yellow cukes, if well fed, split quite readily in aquariums, so if its happy you might have 2 before long

uh ohh,im not sure if i want it that happy.lol.i been doing a lot of research about sps corals,and now im finding out i have thi8ngs i might not want.greean star polyps,tuxedo urchin,and now maybe my cucumber.actually i already decided to keep the urchin,but i think im gonna get rid of the gsp before they spread to my rock(only about a month old,havent outgrown their frag rock yet but close) anyways,different thread.
will the yellow cucumber split over and over and over and so on? (plague proportion)

if your wanting to keep sps then you dont really want things that you will need to feed heavily, ie pollute the water. No they dont split very quickly at all. and you can always take spares out and take them to your lfs for credit, sps are not cheap

thanks,i ll go ahead and just keep it,its very interesting to watch it when its eating.the way it sucks in a brach,then puts another on top of it as it pulls the first one out,pretty neat.plus they are reef safe,they are a pretty defined yellow,and dont get very big.thx a lot
