Do you do water changes with your nano tanks?

What we need to think about is how the nano is filtered? Is it a min. equipment, small mixed reef tank around 10gal or less or a full-on BB, fishless, SPS, automated berlin < 40gal with great skimming and zero TDS RO/DI make-up water?

Water changes are a must for the former and the same as a bigger reef for the latter,IMHO.

Yep, I do a 5 gallon change every 2-3 weeks.
But I have a very well established tank, w/no algae outbreaks anymore (knock on wood), before I did them every 1-2 weeks.

i believe water changes are always important. good luck

4 -5 gal each week in my 10g. I blast all my rocks with the turkey baster right before I do the w/c.
