i hope not, i bought my toadstool about 2 inches and now it covers half of my 55gallon, all that in three years and no direct feeding..

If any of yall have fish in yer tanks than you are direct feeding yer toadstools thru fish poo, one of the best(tho highly underated) coral foods out there. Toadstools LOVE nutrients. Period. Before I upped the fishload in my 350g Leather system I had to dose Sodium nitrate & Sodium phosphate to maintain good growth of the corals.(Beleive it or not!!) This is one of the systems that I do not run a skimmer on either, but I do use PLENTY of carbon, as these are pretty noxious corals(especially when cut).

new to corals and making a soft coral reef in my new 46 gal! i have 2x96 watt Coral life power compacts with HOB skimmner 1 pwr head and another filter and skimmer HOB (30 gal)!! and i may add my other pwer head! i wanted to kno if i could keep like a toadstool in my tank so maybe my clown could have something to host in and its vry pretty?? what kinds r there and whats best for me?

I occasionally send some food to my toadstool. It seems like the polyps are eating.
