Do you finish the inside of your fish room?

I just finished the wall to put my tank in, but never thought about the inside (fish room) Don't know if I should finish it or leave it as is with the studs showing. Anyone have an opinions.

moisture will create problems with exposed studs, I would finish with greenboard

I was just thinking of painting the wood, anything wrong with that idea.

Maybe I will do the green board, just means longer before my tank is setup

a good expoxy based paint would do the trick, it's easier but in the price ball park to just finish it off, will also look and feel much nicer, think of the time you will be in there! patience, I know, it's tough

do you need to put poly up under the green board?

no, just put up the greenboard and finish just as you would do in a bathroom, then use a moisture resistant paint.
