Do you guys ever test ph.

I don't run calkwasser or a calcium reactor and run a fuge light and skimmer 24/7 so for the past year/s I only test dkh.

I run a pinpoint meter for PH. This way it's just a quick glance instead of another test kit.

I still test everything weekly. Probably will until test kits are gone. My make-up water pH is about 7.6 and I don't correct it so I do watch pH closely. But this tank is only 5 months old. As things mature my plan is nitrate, phosphate, calcium, alk, and mag. If I see no algae, green or brown I may skip phosphate. I just started vinegar in my kalk soluition this week. I run my skimmer and fuge light 24/7 also, but my fuge is a 20k T8. So we'll se how it goes...

I rarely tast my pH. If your Ca, alk, mag are within normal levels, and you have good aeration of your water, your pH should be stable.
