I know stupid noob question. Well I am a noob to SPS I just never had to worry about this with Softie/LPS systems I have kept in the past 7 years.

Was wondering do you lose alk at night? The reason I ask is because I want to setup my doser to dose my 2-pt suppliment. The thing is I know how much I need to add to keep my alk where I want it which happens to be 11ml of the suppliment. My doser will do 1-295ml per hour. I am wondering if I should do a 24 hour drip and set it up to 1ml per hour and drip in a 11ml to 13ml of R/O water solution over 24hours? Is this right?

The doser I own is the Stabalizer from innovativeaquatics.com.

TIA. Need to do this soon so any help would be appreciate asap!

Your tank has higher Co2 levels at night, this creates some acids which lower your ph, the alk in your water buffers this reaction. Dose 2 Part in the AM when ph is at its lowest. Dont worry about slow dosing, but it cant hurt.
