Do you QT fish from Divers Den

I got the impression that Divers Den did some sort of QT before they shipped their fish. Do you still QT their fish and for how long?

I quarantine all new fish coming in. In fact I have a lineatus fairy wrasse from DD in QT right now, and he will be there for a minimum of six weeks. If there are problems it could extend out from there. That's the QT protocol that all new fish get.

DD recommends that you QT any fish that you purchase including fish from them. If they see this post, they will post a link to their website where QTing is recommended. Sorry, I didn't have time to find the link; otherwise, I would post it myself.

Even DD suggests you QT their fish. DD fish are outstanding and very healthy; but haven't gone through the same routine in QT that most hobbyists use. (8+ weeks). If they had to QT every fish this long, the price would triple, at least.

I am with the other posters. I quarantine DD fish the same as any other. They have sent you a quality fish but you need to continue acclimation to captivity and observing for disease and whatever treatment you normally use. I like quarantining multiple fish at a time (typically 2) so long as they don't have obvious signs of disease when they come in.

QT isn't just for diseases. After being shipped across the country, you should have a place where the fish wont be picked on, and can get eating again. I personally wouldn't do 8 weeks, but 4 weeks will get him ready to claim his spot in the tank.

Scary to talk about. Playing 4 of their last 7 at home, in Nov & Dec, helps. All of their playoff games will be at home too, last year they were all on the road.
