When I log onto RC I start with the Reef discussion, then I go to the Newbie section (it's like a doctor at a free clinic) I feel it's nessessary to help those new here, then I go to DIY section or filtration. How Do You Use Your reef Central?

You pretty much just summed up my RC addiction. :D

I do venture into the speciality forums from time to time to see what's kickin in there. The loungers.... well..... I don't really know what to say about those guys and gals-->>:wildone: :hmm4:

hehehe...lol

Yeah, I try to use all the resources here. I mainly stick to the reef discussion forum, just to see what the general range of info is for the day. Usually do a quick scan of the selling forums to see what kind of deals have been posted since I was last on.

I've learned a alot in the chemistry forum. Great info stickied at the top. I think it's about the neatest one here. I don't go there on a regular basis any more but it's nice to know it's there.

Try to keep all my equipment and lighting questions to the equipment forum when I have one. Used to visit the new to the hobby forum a lot but haven't much any more. Probably should.

Reef discussion could be a lot less cluttered if people went to the appropriate forums, read the stickys and used the search function. Not to say I haven't been guilty in the past.

But just reading the current topics at the top right now, there's easily ten of them that could be moved to the appropriate forums. Just an observation.

Yea, I hit them all. My wife says I need to get a life, but I say, THIS IS MY LIFE!

I like the Clam section also, those guys take alot of pictures over there, it's kind like the ferrari dealership...quiet, mood music and lots of eye candy!

I read through most forums. I post mostly in the reef discussion, reef fish forums because that is what I am familiar with, and I enjoy helping people. I've started posting more in the acro forum (mostly questions) as that is becoming important in my tank. I like the equipment forum, but have had too many "my way or the highway" attitudes thrown at me, so I don't post much there anymore.

The advanced forum has pretty specific stuff usually, so doesn't much apply to me (questions or answers).

The chem forum rocks...any questions about chem, I go there.

The lounge, is, well, the lounge. Not my cup of tea. :D

Ditto on the Lounge.

I try to answer 3-4 questions if they haven't been already answered in the Newbie forum, though I wonder if that's doing more harm than good... :)

I spend the majority of my time between the Reef Discussion forum and the DIY forums. The other specialty forums don't grab my attention because even though I'm past the newbie stage, I'm not into the experienced reefer stage. I just finished setting up my 30 gallon, and as she progresses and I add more advanced coral and fish I'll visit the other forums. The one I've had my eye on is the chemistry forum-- there's tons of info there.

yea the chemistry forum is my new favorite...I'm prolly annoying the heck out of those guys this week too with all my questions.

The scariest forums I have visited were the sponsor forums, man those guys won't give an inch when it comes to any other product (for the most part).

I've only used a few of the sponsor forums and they have been very helpful. I wouldn't think to ask them about other vendors products though...

i'm pretty much a newbie to this site but when i'm on a jump in the reef discussion, diy, and lighting, filtration, ect... forums. also, with me working on a new setup i like to go to the pictures and browse members galleries so i can see what people are using equipment wise. i like how the site is laid out though. i know this is off subject but everytime i try to become a "premium member" when i start typing the info requested it kicks me out and reads error...ect anyone know how to fix this problem.

I'll admit that I am like a fly on a hot .... ummm well you know what I am saying. I skip around read as much as I can. There is more information here than I have time to read!

i start with reef discussion, then i head to SPS forum. then it's nano, then selling forums. i never really visit the others, probably should.

and i second all the comments on the lounge....

....we all know what happens over there :D
