Do you supplement Radium bulbs with anything?

I am going to go ahead and use a blue wave 7 ballast and was told the radiums were the best to run with this ballast. My question is since these are 20k bulbs do I need to supplement actinics with t-5 or vho bulbs? Or can I just run the halides? Thanks in advance.

You can run them w/o supp lighting. Many people do, but many people also supp with T5 and VHO. Im using 3-250w Radiums on blue wave ballasts +2-4 VHO super actinic.

I'm probably going to supplement mine with VHO super actinics, but they don't NEED it. I've seen radium tanks with and without actinic help and I think it helps, but is definitely not needed.

Your gonna love those radium with that ballast. The blue wave ballast it the olny correct m80 ballast for radiums, people use galaxy but that is not the proper ballast to drive radiums. Your gonna love them they are most proven way to grow sps.

What's your light cycle. And my other problem is trying to fit the vho's over my tank.
This is a bad pic of the top of my tank. The canopy is on top but the openings are almost identical ( note that I threw this canopy away and built a all wood one to hang my lights in). I am going to be running the Lumen max 2 pendant and they will take up most of the room over the two big openings. Do you think if I run 1 24" up front length wise and and 1 on each side of the pendant and put it a little sideways but mostly width wise would be a waste of time or help out.
