I seek and value your counsel on this. Here is the scenario:
Current Setup: 46 bow that is 2.5 years old and very stable. I contains 50# LR, 40# LS and it runs a Proflex Model 1 Sump with the middle setup as a small fuge (LR, LS, Figi Mud and thriving Cheato), a Reactor running GFO/Carbon, a CPR Backpack Skimmer, 3 Koralia Evolution power heads, DIY ATO unit and a fan for chiller service. Lighting is a stock CoralLife AquaPro 36". Livestock consist of"“ a mixed reef (about 15 frags/and some larger pieces, Mini Carpet, mixed CUC, Grammy, pair Harlequins, pair Saddlebacks, 3 Green Chromies, & a Goby. I do a 5% water change weekly without fail. I use RO/DI top off water and pre-mixed saltwater from my LFS, which I have been doing since I set the tank up. This store is one of the largest in the Dallas Metroplex and services 90% of the major aquariums in the city. Their water quality is always spot on and consistent. Until I can find the space for a RO/DI unit of my own, I will continue to use this water source.

I have built (photos to follow in another thread), a 70T RR by GlassCages.com (center back overflow 1 ½" down "“ 1" return), Reef Octopus small Sump, separate 12g fuge (which is supplied from the overflow and returns directly to the DT via the return pump), Octo 160 Skimmer, UV Unit, BRS dual reactors (GFO/Carbon), dual Drew's Doser for Ca and KH, Tunze Nano Stream, Eheim 1262 return (which supplies the UV unit via a Flow Meter and the reactors), DIY ATO unit, all controlled by Apex Aqua controller with all the bells and whistles including the PH, ORP and Temp probes. I run a fan in lieu of a chiller. I will be moving the AquaPro light fixture to this tank. All plumbing is PVC except for a small hose used as a shock absorber for the Eheim.
The new tank has been setup for 3 weeks. I used 35 #'s of BRS Pukani Dry rock, which I soaked for 3 weeks in aerated, warm saltwater in a separate tub, 40# CaribSea LS. When I setup the tank I used 15gal of water from the old tank, added 3 cups of LS and 30#'s of LR from it. The other LR has frags/corals attached. I have done one, 5% water change last weekend and plan another tomorrow.

:wavehand:So now for my question... if your still with me!
Do you guys think it is safe for me to move the remaining LR and Livestock over this weekend? I have purchased an additional CUC from Reefkeepers.org based upon their online calculator. That shipment arrives this morning. As a test, last weekend I added a few of my snails and the 3 Chromies. That lot is doing well. The 46 will be a tear down; it's not really in the way, so I'm not under any pressure to break it down. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Sorry to be long winded
Thanks - Bill
