If they went and got the fish when they found the mix up they should of been ok some fish ride on a boat in buckets and such for days before being shipped 2 to 3 days to the United States. Then they get shipped to the lfs in better conditions then they have been in since they left the ocean.

On a different board some people in the industry have speculated the dead fish might have been a misunderstanding/ assumption on the reporters part.
One wholesaler noted if something like this were to happen, the fish would either be returned to the sender, or someone in the area called to pick up the fish.
