I have these Red PE's, and they seem very tall compared to most. I am wondering if it is ok or normal or what. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sean

I have the current sunpod that has 2x 250w MH. they are near the top, I can try to get them higher up. I attached a crude pic of where the frag sits in my tank.

I don't think they need more light with that kind of lighting looks like they were under a rock or something that was shading them at the time when they were fragged and they were streching for light. No need to adjust them leave them be or put them on the sand.

How long have the polyps in question been in your tank?

Like the Tank2379, I find it hard to believe that if you have these high in the tank under 250w MH they are stretching for light.

Call them Stretch Arm Strongs! They'll be worth at least $50 per polyp!I also agree they're stretching for light.I have multiple frags of the same type of zoas in my tank. They are placed at different levels in the tank.I put them where I had space. The ones closer to the top grow short & compact, while the ones lower down or shaded tend to stretch out.House plants do the same thing. When they need more light they tend to stretch towards any incoming light. You just have to find a happy medium.Place them too high & they may start to lose their color.Could'nt you lower your fixture a little as well?

I built a new frag rack. Hopefully they will have enough light now.
