Does anyone else spend more time on here than looking at their tank?

Hadn't really thought about it much, but my fiance recently made a comment about how much time I spend on RC. I guess then I realized I'm probably looking around on here about 3-4 hours a day and only spend a 1/4 of that actually appreciating the tanks.

X2 mang.

I need a live feed bad.

I spend too much of my study-time in here, but studying is boring :p
I stare at the tank more. This is just for when I can't look at the tank cause I'm at work or class or pretending to study, it's a poor substitute for what I'd rather be doing which is like re-aquascaping or bothering my new blenny.

You'll find it comes in phases too, when you've got tank-stuff going on you'll be reading and posting more, but as things settle into a groove you chill with that a little.

I can see my tank from where I am SITTING and going to put ip cameras and a monitor on the wall next to the couch where my laptop is at so i can watch the pond and tanks down there..

All WORKED out

I have been scouring the forum for information about various things rather than bothering everyone here with my newbie questions.

This is my pastime when I'm waiting for a panel to finish baking at work, and occasionally I pop in when I'm at home (maybe 4-5 times a week, mainly weekends). But there's a reason I have a tank at work as well as at home: I much prefer to have my hands wet with re-arranging rocks or frags, cleaning glass, or sucking up crud than to be spending my lunch hour reading about somebody re-arranging rocks or frags, cleaning glass, or sucking up crud :D

nah, i spend way more time looking at the tank, little kids like to see stuff so my kids like watching the tank with me...especially on WC days, we get to clean the sump.

I do like being on here, i have learned a ton and am now able to help newbies so it's cool but i'd take the tank over the forum any day, sorry...lol

Scouring Reef Central and "talking shop" with fellow reefers is a HUGE part of the enjoyment for me. This hobby has the ability to be a thought consuming/thought provoking endeavor, and I am grateful for the wealth of knowledge found here. I enjoy reading about other people's failures and triumphs so that I may be better prepared if I should happen down the same road. I also enjoy sharing my own experiences and the rare opportunity to give solid advice.

LOVE this hobby!

I rarely appreciate my tanks, everyone says how nice it is.... All I see if the bad :). Then again when ppl look at it they tell me how cool my mag float is -.-

I guess I'm with you on this. I'm like a sponge for knowledge and I'm learning new things everyday I pop on here. Love it.

I knew I'd love the husbandry part of this hobby but I never thought I'd care to learn so about plumbing, chemistry, electrical!

I spend a ton of time on here, and I bought a chair to keep in the tank room. So if I'm not in with the wife and kids, I'm in my chair watching the tank and always on RC. Wife tells me to get off RC and Come to bed now, from upstairs when she hasn't been downstairs for hours
