Why it just so happens that i do have a tank like that. in fact mine is a DAS tank that measures 96 x 24 x 24 but the water level in it is lower than 24 so you could technically call it or consider it a 96 x 24 x 19 (LWH) What kind of information are you hunting? Im not an expert but i can tell you my mustakes and maybe some things to stay away from? oh, and i have a few pictures on my thread (time to join the club...) if you can find it
My tank has 2 1in bulkhead drains and 1 1in return. ( i bought my tank used.) I made my dorso drains out of 1.25 PVC and I used 1.25 flex going to my sump. then i have a Feeflo Dart for a return pump runnin wide open and used 1in PVC with 4 loc-lines to direct flow in my tank. (2 of the 4 loc-lines are Y-ed so technically there are 6 lines.) I will take some pictures and post them for you, but if you click on my gallery then you can see some of the pictures that are allready uploaded.
from top side, my dorso's on the right and return on the left.
the loc-lines
from the front, (theres probably 150lbs of rock and it looks empty)
this is my pump with my home-made manifold. it has 2- 1in ball valves so that i can always expand , not to mention one has some flex on it which makes water changes great!!
I hope this helps, and im just a broke college kid that found this setup for cheaper than i could buy a 125 tank and stand so i went with it. I dont have any corals just fish and 2 aneminies. shrimp snails and crab of course.
the flow is good enough for me but if you have lots of corals and need lots of current then i would add a vortech if you need it. i has a few small corals and my shrimp ate them so i just havent gotten around to buying any more. good luck and cant wait to see you put yours together and going.
