Matt picked up a can for me, thanks. I foamed the tank last night. I modified my technique and the results were amazing.
I stroked the foam as usual to break up the "turd" effect. But in this nano tank I did not want the foam to expand the usual one inch.
So, after ten minutes, the exterior of the foam was firm enough not to stick to my hand so I pressed the foam firmly into the glass. The underside was gooey and squishy and I could feel huge air pockets under the foam, so I continued pushing to release all the air (kinda like releaseing air from a sandwich bag).
The final result is only 1/4" rise. I also think this will solve the problem of future detachment from the glass where the foam will want to float.
Prepped with grills in place and taped over to protect the front.
The foam will help hold the grills in place. The foam has between 1/2" to 1" expansion.
This is flattened down to 1/4" the width of the grills
I am going to post da Artsy-Cube project in the Nano tank forum. I will link to it later today.
Cheers
