i have some voltage in my tank and my fish are stressed, richard has me one on order but it wont be here till thursday,i just need it till then,

Where is the voltage coming from? You should correct the problem along with adding a ground probe.

Using a ground probe without GFCI protection on all of the submerged (or exposed) equipment creates a dangerous situation for the tank's inhabitants and humans exposed to that tank. A ground probe must always be used with GFCI protection!

Install a GFCI.

when we had the electrician out to run more boxes he said he would put them in but everytime we lost power it would trip everthing,

If you want to run a ground probe it needs to be into a GFCI.
If you want to run it without one and take a chance, that's your call.
If you don't want to run a GFCI , eliminate the items that are causing the problem.
If you make the wrong call you might let Darwin decide your fate.

"does anyone have a probe"

An innocent thought put on the internet can bring on a great brainstorm of responses that vary greatly from the intended request. So far this thread has flown under the radar of wandering minds. :strange:
