Does anyone have any extra chaeto?

Haven't done SQUAT with either the tank or the basement (thus the lack of activity here), but should have plenty. Will go down and check tonight for you though.
 
I usually throw it in the trash. Problem is red planaria, (flat worms) have migrated in to my fuge. I would think that a fresh water dip would take care of it, but not sure... Anyway I live in little chute. E mail me if you want to chance it.

Just wish I could finish this basement and the tank. When I can't move forward, I usually try not to even look here, because I'll lose all self-control and buy something I shouldn't yet !

LOL, I still have stuff I don't even have set up yet!!!

Sorry don't want any flatworms. I think a freshwater dip would prolly kill the chaeto not sure.
I used flatworm exit awhile back cuz I saw some and havent seen any since.
Wanna keep it that way lol.
I'm dipping everything that goes into my tank with it to now to be sure.

Hmmmm what to do. Little chute is much closer and I could triple dose it or more with flatworm exit to be sure.
I never had them in my 150 and it would be a PITA to treat that tank.

I'll think on it lol and let you guys know. Would be safer to get it from Scooter and I'd like to see his tank again.

I understand. I used the salifert stuff too... but they came back three months later. Such a bummer. Shouldn't be to hard to find pest free chaeto.. Good Luck!

I do wanna come Mako but ya know my nickname is wrong way lol.

I want to put that atlantic blue tang in my 150 which is really crap right now. I got a bucket of salt and gonna do a major water change tomorrow and wanna add some chaeto cuz it always has high nitrates from the wet dry and my bad husbandry in that tank.

What I would like to do is remove the media/DLS and just run chaeto in the sump but the way the water goes into it there really is'nt room for a light. I might figure out something but for now was just gonna throw a bunch in the main tank as I only have a few fish in there anyway.

Maybe if I get some from all of you and fill the whole tank the nitrates will go down lmao.

Well, that is what my lfs called them. They are like large cocopds(sp?) Or small shrimp. They just swim around and clean up. When they get sent into the return pump, the fish eat them before they hit the ground. They are silver. I hope that helps.
 
All I know is the lfs told me thats what they are and my ref is just fine. But they are bigger than the pods I bought from the lfs. (I got a jar of like 500.) Anyway, if you want some chaeto its yours.

I thought scuds were freshwater amphipods. (ok, now I have to go find out. And then wonder why I never get anything done when watching this site).

Sure they aren't gammarus shrimp?
 
yeah gammarus is what I was thinking by the description.
I got some bright red ones 1 time with some red grac. macro.
They were cool and I tried to keep them in my hang on fuge but the fish ate them all.
