Does anyone love Large Polyp Stonys out there!!!Share your Knowledge!!

I will give a try! There are many different kinds of LPS. I have collected several from the genus Euphyllia - I have a wall hammer, forgspawn and torch. These corals sting so you need to place them carefully otherwise they will sting others. Their polyps can get quite long so space and planning is a good idea with them. I also love my cataphyllia which is an Aussie elegance -- a close relative to the euphyllias. It also stings.

Another that I fell in love with are fungii -- I only have one but it is a green and orange and loves being on the sand. It inflates and it's flesh is delicate so you need to protect them from anything falling on them. A close relative is the litholphylon -- looks similar to a tongue coral but is different and can actually live on your rockwork.

I have one blasto -- it is a beautiful green edged blasto but the interior is a sort of shimmering gold and brown color. It happily lives on the sand in my tank but they can also live on rocks.

I have two different types of chalices -- they have amazing color -- one is a combination of green, purple, yellow and red. My other is an amazing purple color. They both have a rock which they only share with a few paly's.

I have a big red Aussie scoly too -- another very cool LPS that comes in a wide variety of colors. I love watching it eat -- a very cool creature. I also have a two color Aussie Acan -- very amazing coral to watch. Yesterday I was looking at it and it was stretched out and plumped up like I had never seen before.

My other recent passion is Leptestrea -- I have collected 4 color morphs and I think I may have found a Caribbean type as a hitchhiker which is cool.

I also have 3 different color morphs of Duncans -- they are very beautiful.

I love LPS because they just look so amazing in the way they move and eat. A lot of LPS are very easy and rewarding to keep.
