Does anyone not use a clean up crew?

I think that too many people are considering their CUC what can be purchased from a store in a package. Am I right? Worms and shrimp can be considered part of a CUC because they clean up leftover food. nassarius snails will devour any left over meaty foods, shrimp eat almost everything. many stars arent cleaners, except to deplete the worms and pods found in your sandbed. Hermits and snails do great as clean up and anyone who disagrees should remove them from their system and notice the difference.

I only have snails but I was thinking in getting rid of them. The big ones at night time become very "noisy", the current in my tank makes their shell hit the glass repeatedly and its very annoying

Yah, depends on the type though. The ground crawling ones seem to be the worst offenders, and in my case, a fighting conch.

But Nassarius snails and Top Crown snails are "teh win".

Among the several types of snails I keep, the 4 huge turbos are the ones that really irritate me - they don't give a hoot about frags and just steam roll everything - they even walk right on top of my GSPs! I'm thinking of getting rid of them.
