Does anyone use these?

Jalli 18watt pc fixture for fuges or nanos.

I keep having a problem with the fixtures blowing. I think Ameren is sending too much current into my house. In Sept. I had two computer power supplies blow, a Monster Bar surge protecter, the transformer on the house A/C, a T.V., and other small electronic transformers- cordless phone, baby monitors, printer. In Sept. and early this morning I woke up and the cieling fan was spinning extremely fast- We keep it on low.
This time all that blew was these light fixtures, and yes they are on a surge protecter.
Just wondering if anyone uses these and if they have any problems.

I'm not sure about the power supply company problems, but true surge protectors have to be within 10 feet of a grounding rod to be truly effective so the only real surge protection is mounted on your main circuit box. There are point of usage(or something like that) which are the typical plug strips etc. that will protect you from in-house surges i.e. when you turn pumps on/off and those are really just a secondary protection.

I think I've heard about the low end surges, brown-outs, but the monster bar says it can take a hit of 2775 joules and still be okay. This one was fried. It did protect all the equipment that was hooked up to it though.

Back in Sept. it wasn't just my house. Three other nieghbors got zapped also.

Call Emeren ask for testing of ground connector at their pole & at point of entry of your house, if that ok then check your main panel & all breakers also your panel box ground.

some time ago, my office power keep flipping, & surges, but nothing got fry, I have all equipments on surges protectors & battery back up big units.

good luck.

Can't help much on the Ameren info but I have been running one of the Jalli's for several years now with no problems despite dropping once and a partial bath another time - nothing that duct tape couldn't fix! New Bulbs and replacing a connector have been the extent of the maintenance.

ive had two of the jallis, i think they might have been 13 watters though. i had the same prob with both and that was that the wires were ran directly under the bulb back to the ballast so as the bulb got hot, it would melt the wire insulation and the the slightest nudge would cause the two wires to cross and the ballast would blow. just make sure that the one you are going to use has the wires ran under the reflector. other than that flaw, they were great

Update:
After filing a claim with Ameren and being told yes it was an equipment failure on our part but we do not guarantee our equipment or any power surges sent- Part of their deny everything policy.

Anyway Jalli has a one year guarantee on these lights, so I mailed the lights back to them and they have been replaced free of charge! I am only out the ~$12.00 postage that it cost to send them back.

Check your voltage with a volt-meter. It could be that your incoming voltage is too high or too low.

Way to go Jalli! It's good to hear about a manufacturer honoring the warranty, particularly under this type of circumstance.
