We're trying to figure out how to get the ER advertised air pull and we were wondering if anyone knows if the Gen-X pumps have been modified at all...Does anyone have an ER Gen-X 4100 pump that they can take pics of the inner housing? Thanks!

DITTO!

they say thier new model NW- Gen-x 4100 pulls 18 lpm= 38 scfh while on the skimmer(that is supose to be out soon). i really find it hard to believe.

I hear ya there....as I said in my other post, I'm going to try a few things and see what I can get. The venturi is the same as I posted earlier. It's similar to the pic below but it's in a 1" length of PVC using the same 1/4" ID of acrylic tube angled and mounted inside but has a barb with a 3/8" barb end and 3/8" ID airline tubing on it. Visually it pulls so much air it's sick! I'll post some figures after I get the air meter tomorrow....

yeah, i try a few different ventures. your venture looks good i dont no if you tryed turning it while running your pump, a little off center can sometimes help. the 4100 worked good a little noisier than i like, even for my fish room, but they pulled more air than most the others ive tried.

i know the ER moded use a pin wheel but 38 SCFH is 50% more than Ehiems at 18" of head, and 120% more than stock gen-x
