Does everyone feed their anemones?

I've had my hosted bta for 4 years now and I don't feed it. I used to feed it when I got it ..for a couple of months I fed it silversides but I stopped and the anemone is happy;)

I have tried to see if they feed it but....honestly I have never seen them feeding it but it is a possibility or maybe it just catches some food when I feed the fish but I don't feed the anemone directly and I have never seen the clowns feed it

I don't feed my bta at all abd clowns don't feed it either. It's very happy.

I have a haddoni and feed him minimally only.

To feed or not to feed?

To feed or not to feed?

I would feed if I wanted it to grow or split but if you do not want it to grow to fast you don't have to if it gets enough light and a little fish food once in awhile....:spin1:

I fed and not fed them. Some seem to enjoy being fed others could care less. Certainly if you have one that is somewhat bleached, it needs to be fed as it can't get what it needs from the light.

I feed my BTAs silversides about once a week. Have also observed the tentacles capturing the odd bit of fish food, usually Cyclopeeze granule. Sounds like folks have success either way. Probably depends on a number of variables, including your lighting. If it's healthy using whatever method you employ, it's all good.

I have a mag and two haddoni's and all are fed. If i don't they slowly shrink. It may be that others anemones find sufficient food in the water column but obviously in my tank they don't.

Used to feed mine silversides. Havent fed them in over a year. They still keep splitting. Decided to let them take over the tank. My clowns are happy.
