Does having lights come on suddenly harm coral?

Does having all of the lights come on all at once harm coral? For instance many people will have the attinics come on first. But if all the lights went on all at once, would coral do bad?

not really a concern with corals, but having all the lights come on at once can spook your fish and cause them to jump if they aren't used to it.

Nope, doesn't harm the corals, provided of course that you don't have too much light in the first place.
