Does my Hippo look healthy?

I am a rookie and am using my QT for the first time. My Hippo has been in Qt for 4 weeks so far and I am hoping to move her to the display tank soon. She eats great and appears to me to be healthy though quite timid and difficult to get a good look at. I managed to get some pictures from a distance and the glass isn't super clean so the pictures certainly aren't ideal. But if you see anything you think I should be concerned about please let me know your feedback.

Thanks,

I can't see any signs of ich but curious about the marking in front of the eye--has that always been there?

looks good it may just be timid because it's in a small q-tank right now. The main thing is if it's been eating well, a good appatite is always a good sign.

Thank you for taking a look. Being new I have found that things that should be obvious are not always obvious to me.

Looks like it could be the beginnings of a little HLLE but other than that it looks good. Just make sure you are feeding high quality food, lots of algae and good water parameters and he should be fine.

that's what I had in mind--and the fish might have had it previously but by the looks of it, the fish is fine now

 by the way for quarantining your fish

Nothing to worry about, Hippo's always have those markings under the eye. ;)
They have dots in front of there eyes. Thats normal. The hippo looks healthy and a good appetite is always good sign. Good luck
