Does my White Cheek have ich?

Weird question but this morning I was looking at my tank and noticed my White Cheek scratch against the sand a couple of times, on closer inspection it had a few white spots on it so I immediately though 'On no I've got an Ich outbreak'
So all day at work I was planning how I was going to remove all my fish and treat them, stopped and bought PVC plumbing elbows etc for quarantine on my way home.
Get home and look in my tank and the tang looks fine, swimming and eating strong, no scratching, no spots...nothing. None of my other fish have any either.
So my question is, can a fish show slight ich symptoms in the morning and be gone in the evening? I know the disease goes through cycles but within 24 hours to be fine, then show symptoms, then look fine again?
I just don't want to pull the fish out and treat if I don't need to.

Really bad pic because lights are on sunset but no visible spots at all!

maybe a few white spots you saw this morning were actually sand grains stuck to its body? is the fish new addition? i'd wait and see a few more days if everything's well.

Well it was 0530 so yeah possibly I was seeing things!! I'll just keep an eye on it for a couple of days and see how it goes. Thanks for the reply!

some of my tangs have white blotches in the morning they do go away in the afternoon, I have drawn the conclusion they are from contact with rocks
