Does PraziPro turn water cloudy?

I dosed my QT with PraziPro after lights out and next morning the water looked cloudy. Is this the medication or do I have problem?

The tank had been running for months with an hob filter and medication was added when a Hippo tang came down with a bad case of flukes. I had been feeding heavily to fatten the poor thing up, so my first suspicion was that this had something to do with it, but two 25% water changes have not helped.

When I dosed my QT it turned a little cloudy. How long has the prazipro been administered? I dosed my tank and did a water change every 4 days to make sure there were no ammonia spikes. Then I re-dosed at full strength each time with prazipro. I added a powerhead for flow and aeration. I did this for 12 days. You can get rid of the cloudiness with water changes and carbon...JME. By the way you could be adding to the cloudiness from heavy feeding.

I never realized it until you said something, but yes, my water in QT does get a little cloudy after using prazipro.

As long as ammonia and nitrite are ok, I wouldn't suspect there to be a problem. Fish can live in some nasty water before they get p-off.

Clouds a little then clears up in about an hour or 2. Also, depends how much you used vs gallons of water. Read the directions and follow.

Water has cleared up a bit with a few more water changes. PraziPro was dosed according to instructions and added to compensate for water changes.

Maybe my guess is that PraziPro alone is not responsible, but perhaps a combination of the Prazi and poor water quality.

ROBONE20, I believe carbon should not be used with Prazi and most other medications.

It used to turn my tank slightly cloudy for the first few days, but now I am also dosing formalin( it can be done) along with the prazipro...and no more cloudiness occurs

iamwhatiam52 - you are correct about not using carbon during treatment...but if you wanted to get the cloudiness out after treatment is completed you can use carbon and perform water changes. That's what I meant. :)
