You're kidding right?

That has got to be the smallest skimmer I've ever seen... there's no way that I can see that thing working.....

I know why it's not working....it's a fission nano skimmer. You're probably seeing the best you'll get out of it. There horrible little POS's. I'm still kickin' myself for wasting the money and shipping to order one like 6 months ago. It lasted a month before I threw it away. The little pump works great in my 2.5 nano tank though.

I'm not familiar with that skimmer so I can't say how it works, but you could try a couple things if you haven't already.

See if you can disconnect the pump and put it in some water to see if it's working. If not, you likely need a new pump. If the pump is working, try taking the skimmer apart to see if something inside is stuck or clogged.

There has to be.... if not you got ripped. Impellers and housings must be cleaned from time to time.

Look at your manual and see if there's any diagrams.

Man, I just finished looking at that manual and the exploded diagrams..... I'm gonna preface this with: I have never used one of these.

Do yourself a favor and return the skimmer and go for a larger version. I don't know how much you spent on it but I'm pretty sure you could get a much better suited skimmer for your tank for less money. I would even ventrue to say that a Seaclone could outperform this skimmer.

Sorryman, it sucks to waste money, but there are alot of crappy skimmers out there. Askin this forum before you buy one, we will steeryou straight. Look at the aquac mini remora thingy, I forget the name. But they have a new skimmer for nanos

You may have already posted and i missed it, waht size tank is the skimmer going on? Also, you should be able to pop off the inlet part of the pump, this will contain the impeller (and it can be done). make sure the impeller is clean and the air hose is clean.

I have been doing saltwater for a long time so I decided to give a little ten gal proj at my girlfriends a try and I bought a FISSION skimmer. Not gonna lie had to be the worst piece of junk skimmer ever. They are very sensitive and useless, my recommendation is to return it and go online and look at the ones marinedepot.com offers for their nano section you might be able to get a little wet/dry and skimmer combo. But ya the fission is junk get rid of it man!!!

I bought it from sitc yesterday.

Is that a LFS store or something? I'd take it back. You have a legitmate reason to get you out of this purchase.

Ditto here...bought one and hated it. Its nothing but a microbubble factory. Except now even the little pump doesn't work!
