Sorry for starting another brook thread but i'm not sure if that's what's going on?
Here's the rundown.
Yesterday morning dead perc, crabs had already gotten to it so I couldn't really see anything on it. Other perc still swimming but faded and looked like it was peeling from a sunburn, fins were a little ragged at the edges. The banggai's fins were also looking a bit ragged again, this is the one that had just spent a week in QT because I thought he had been attacked by the other banggai. Midas Blenny looking and acting fine. I dosed the tank with Kent's C and fed with garlic extreme and added Stress Coat to the tank.
Last night perc and banggai looking worse, fins more shredded and both fish appeared to have a haze on them. I moved both of them to the QT and fed once acclimated, neither would eat. I had the QT water at sg 1.023 and acclimated by changing 1/4 cup of water 4 times in each of their float bags. The perc died within 2 hours of moving him and the banggai was expired this morning. The banggais fins this morning were in extremely bad shape and there was a red swollen area at the joint of the fin (I didn't see this on there last night). I have the fish "in cold storage" at the moment but wasn't sure if it was appropriate to take and post pics of a deceased fish.
The midas is doing fine in the DT, swimming around with all fins intact and no specks or problems visible at this time.
Ammonia, nitrite and nitrates are 0 the DT, it's a 20 gallon cube. SG is still 1.025, temp is 80.3, pH is 8.2, phosphates are 0. I have a marineland penguin biowheel 200 on the tank and an Aqua-Clear 30 powerhead. 20#'s live sand, 14 pounds lr, 10 mexican hermits, 2 turbo snails, 1 fire shrimp, 1 emerald crab and 2 sexy shrimp. The water on this tank has had a little bit of a haze that I haven't been able to completely get rid of.
Questions:
Does this sound like brook?
Should I post pics of the deceased banggai?
Should I do a formalin on the midas?
If it is brook, how do I get it out of the DT?
I will greatly appreciate any help I can get...
