does this sound possible?

i have one lfs within 80 miles. their tanks usually have at least 1 or 2 fish with ich. i only shop there for dry goods/fish food. used to buy inverts from them until i noticed they started putting some of their fish in the invert tanks.

i was in there a couple of days ago, there were some killer feather dusters i would have loved to get but in the same tank was a yellow tang. it *looked* healthy but we all know about tangs and ich, right?

i asked one of the long-time employees if the invert and coral tanks are on a separate system from the fish tanks. he said they recently revamped everything and now ALL of their tanks EACH has their own system. none of the tanks are connected to the same system. this seems very odd to me and i just have to wonder if it's even possible.

what say you?

We're probably comparing apples and oranges, but our lfs keeps everything in those "all in one" nano tanks which are all on individual systems.

well, their display tanks are 10g. they have a couple of bigger tanks with stuff that isn't for sale.

yeah, that's pretty much what i thought. really not sure the guy understood my question. in any event, i won't buy anything from either his coral or invert tanks since they both contain fish.

my 75g reef is, more or less, complete. i am maxed out on fish and i have no more room for corals so i haven't had a qt up in quite some time. can't see doing that for a couple of feather dusters. :)
