the fiji leather is attached to a big piece of rock, so i dont know if that matters to you, but the leather itself is huge. i would ask around $100 for it. the zoos i have a large colony and some small ones, $40 for the large and $15-$20 for the smaller ones. the birdsnest is a very nice size and i have had it for over a year $60 for that

where are you getting it from? if it's not a site you're familiar with i'd probably want to check it before i agreed to it...

can't say i'm the BEST judge of prices but i'd have to say check out and decide if it's worth the price to you or not - don't just buy because you need more stuff in your tank...

its a guy off craigslist im goin to check now thats kerriann and the goby is here to stay lol i cant part with him hes to fun to watch

You'd definitely need to get pics of the corals he's advertising first before any judgement on price can be made. His huge leather may only be 4 or 5 inches, which, in that case, it wouldn't be worth it IMO... Same with the zoas. AquaWorld has a $15 zoanthid tank with some really nice variety, you should check there first. I'm really happy with the ones i got from them.

ya this guy is feeding me bullshit the leather is only 5 inchs the birdsnest he said is 3 and te zoos are a sewig green ugly stuff

Yeah, you're definitely better off seeing the coral in person before getting your hopes up... Or at least getting good feedback about the seller from past customers if you can't see the pieces in person... Glad you're not going to end up getting ripped off

i can get better stuff off here from ppl i can talk to and trust not to screw me over im mad that guy tryed pulling a fast one on me its the guy that has the 450 on creigst list there a thread about it on here i sugest no one buy from him

As you've already found out.... There's people in this hobby who are in it to help other people out and do it because they enjoy it. Then there's the people who are in it, and try to pull a profit off of the unsuspecting noobs by selling them run of the mill stuff at outlandish prices. Luckily, I've only dealt with the people who are in it to help others, and that's the type of hobbyist I consider myself as well.

Plenty of good people on here that will hook you up, you just gotta jump on the deals when you see them.

ya this guy email me back wish i could put it up on here but theres alot of exsplicts after i told him im not dumb and reasearch each and said hes trying to rip me off so he got mad and basicly didnt write a sence in it without the f word in it and he said the fiji leather was rare i laughed at that lol

Well, to be fair, there are some people in this hobby who have no idea what they're doing too. They spend a ton of money on huge tanks, pay people to come maintenance them, and then decide after a while to move on. These people have paid retail (or marked up retail by the service person) on their stuff, and very well could have paid that astronomically high price for it, and expect to get it back. That shows in his asking price for his tank, and you see it all the time. There are a lot of people who honestly believe that what they have is worth something, and should sell for close to the outlandish price they paid to get it, because they never research it, look on Ebay and watch sale prices, or visit forums to see what hobbiest vs. retail prices are. I'm not saying he's a boy scout...obviously he's not. But he could be honestly misinformed himself about what he has, and is trying to get most of what he paid for it, not what a fair price would be.
