does top-off sand need to soak first?

i have about 140lb of oolitic sand in my 4 year old DSB. i am receiving 50lb more tomorrow, just slightly more coarse. i need to top off my DSB in center mostly, only about 1". i'll probably only need to use 25lb. this sand is not live sand, does it need to soak in RODI before i put in?

not necessarily soak but I would rinse it fairly decently!

I would soak it in tank water removed from a water change to get the bacteria beginning to establish. It may help with any sandstorms/cloudiness when adding to the display. Maybe even seed it a little with some sand/live rock in the holding container.
