Does your BTA "bubble-up" when you turn off the circulation?

I don't care much for the bubble tip look but I adore them when they're not in that mode. A fellow reefer told me his bta is fine unless the circulation goes way down or when the pumps are turned off. I'm researching nems and I'm leaning towards bta's but I would be disappointed if mine bubbled up all the time.

I thought the same until I got a RBTA that did bubble in my tank. From them on, I loved that look
