Does your wave box keep your substrate clean?

About to make this move and wanted to know if your wave maker really keeps your substrate clean as well as the dead spots that you would have had you not had the wave maker. thanks

It helps keeping the detritus from settling... But you will need directional flow...

It will lift and suspend most debris, but as Steve said, you need directional current to bring this debris to your overflows or filters.
