Ok I am kinda new to salt water. I have just started up a 125 gal tank. I did have a 75 gal and I was added all the fish to the 125 gal. And they seem to be doing great. I would like to add a dog face puffer. We have had puffers in the past and they didn't do very well. Not sure why. Is there wany websites that I can go on the learn about them. And is there any advises any one can give me?

Wetwebmedia.com is a great informational site that I learned a lot from. I have never kept a puffer so I dont know much about them.

Dogface puffers can get to about a foot long. They are great fish, mellow for a puffer, with great personalities. Be sure to keep good water quality, don't overcrowd, and feed a varied, high quality diet.

I have 1 Lion Fish, 1 Huma Huma trigger, 1 Niger Triger, 1 Snowflake eel, 1 Big Eye squirrel fish, 1 Clarkie Clown Fish, and 2 Domino damsels. Is my tank to crowded? The weekend we did get a dogface and once again it is not going good. White stuff all over it. Not sure if it is ick. All my other fish are fine. I checked the water everything looks ok. Help Help Help.

If it looks like a white dusting it's velvet. Very deadly--usually kills the puffer within a few days. QT & treat very carefully with copper.
