Brazengirl, thanks I'll try anything right about now.
Saleen, its only getting worse and worse in this world. I thought moving into a house was going to be alot different from my old apartment complex, but I just got slapped back to reality. Thieves and criminals are lerking.

Waterfaller1, he was brought home. Some Miracle! WOoOo-HOoo...they called us at 9:30am and told us that some man gave them the puppy at wal-mart. I didnt even care, I just grabbed him and left. I ran straight to the vets office to microchip him and they scheduled me for an appt. next Thursday. So, no outside till after the microchip.
Now, I have heard that the microchip only works if someone takes the dog to the vet and asks them to scan the dog for a chip, how great will that work?? Anyways, hes back home with us now, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH, for keeping him in thoughts.

WOOT!!! :bounce2: :bounce1: :bounce3:  :celeb2: :celeb1:YAY..that is awesome news! Now since some of my good luck rubbed off on you, you need to enter him in this contest. We won last week's contest..yippee! This is the photo..:)

Congrats, miracles do happen!!!!

Awesome...don't they have GPS locators now? Probably more expensive, but that way you(GPS company, at least someone...not sure exactly who would do the tracking) could track the dog instead of someone being honest and asking the vet to scan him.

I definitely know that they have the GPS collars, but that may be a little too easy to remove(put a masterlock on the dog's collar may be much:)).

Isn't that how the world always works? You think there's no hope, then something happens to give you hope again. To quote one of my favorite shows, Scrubs.

Janitor thinking:
Okay, now help him up to make him think there's hope for your relationship yet.

JD thinking:
As the janitor helped me to my feet, I couldn't help but feel that there was hope for us yet...

Congrats on getting your dog back! Glad to hear it! As for the microchip, oftentimes vets will scan dogs without the owner asking just as a precaution (you can usually tell when shady people are hiding something).

Also as scary as it may sound, there have been reports of people removing implanted microchips from dogs so that they can sell them. Just be careful, the best way to not lose your dog is to keep them always confined (ie leash, fence, etc), and always under your supervision. With small dogs especially this can be a huge problem, as they are easy to steal and sell.

Also, I'm not sure how big your dog is, but watch out for hawks. I've heard horror stories of chihuahuas getting lifted right out of their yard by hawks and never seen again...

Funny enough i was fired a few weeks before christmas from one of the most religious organizations in town...

Glad to hear you got the little guy back. As far as the chip goes, most vets will ask if a new patient is chipped, and normally check them to be sure. That is, most vets.
