Turbinaria
No Image Available
Description: This is a yellow Turbinaria. It is a Dendrophylliidae, and like most it should be fed on occassion for optimal health. But this coral is a Zooxanthellate and it's primary source of food comes from the lighting.
Lighting Requirements: Moderate lighting is prefered, but will do well under most types of lighting with attention to placement.
Water Flow: Moderate water flow is needed to keep debris off of the coral and to introduce food to the feeder tentacles.
Water Parameters: This coral is pretty hardy and often fairs well under good tank conditions.
Placement: This coral should be kept off of the bottom to ensure good water flow and that debris won't build up on it.
Eligibility: A sponsor may keep this coral as long as he/she meets the requirements listed below:
- They provide the correct environment for it to grow.
- They are available to pickup the frag at the meeting.
- They describe how it grows for them under their conditions, and what those conditions are.
- They promise that once they are twice the size they are now, they will donate a frag to the next person on the Want List.
If you wish to be a sponsor, reply to this list and place your name at the bottom of the Want List. The next people on the list will receive frags from the sponsors when the colony has doubled.
