Don't buy sps from TOTM tamarindthai

Bought quite a bit of frags from him and had issues. First he decides to ship them ups that gets here at 4:30pm when I told him to confirm shipment to be fedex delivery at 10:30am. I was so worried about the whole shipment and when it came last Thursday it was wet on the outside. Turns out that he didn't use rubber bands to tie up the bags only tied them in a knot. The water probably came out because of the heat and pressure. Two frags was DOA cuz of the heat. The water was super warm to the touch and he did not put in an ice pack. As you guys know the temp was like 100 degrees down here in Southern Cali. Anyway to add to that he had the red bugs and he didn't tell me. Granted I probably should have asked but as TOTM I'd think his tank was super clean. So then I asked for a refund for some of the corals and he blasts me with some insults through pm saying I'm inexperienced and that I'm a beginner. And then he pms me again and say the red bugs are from my tank......I had no sps in my tank until his shipment came.

It's sad to see a guy that has a nice niece to be so lacking in respect of fellow hobbyists and lacking respect for sps frags that needs to be shipped properly. Anyway just wanted to warn you guys if you guys do decide to buy from him make sure everything is in order before you do.

Thats horrible man. I'd wish that you'd get it resolved, but it doesn't sound like he's willing.

i already told you i will credit or replaced all DOA frag with proved of pics with in 24 hrs+you shipping cost,that i 'd never seen?,your garantee is way overdue. ,,
and you should known better to dip all the frags does't matter you where got them from anybodyelse or from me,i did not see any pest when i bag the coral and they all are double heavy duty bagged double knots tight way better than rubberbanded packed in 1" thick form box sealed,,no way they will be any leaking very difficult to believed ,,
once again it is your responsibility to quarantine and pest control dipped ,,,again that is very good and common pratice for any pest control before you put the frag in your tank,,sorry i can not help you with the red bug.it is your resposiblity,,
great deal with all the hiend frags you got from me ,,hope you can keep them alive..end of my 2 cents

As for red bugs (or other pest,fot that matter),IMO:
Although I agree that, as a buyer I would dip and QT the corals, I also I expect the seller to disclose if they have any pests type issues, especially if they know about it.

Actually I do have pics...of the wet box and also of the dead frags in the bag before I even opened them. I will upload them here in a bit so everyone can see.

Also you said you will credit me....why the heck would I want credit when I know you have red bugs??? I really don't want anything from your tank if I know your sps have red bugs.

Sorry pics are not that big I am not a paying member. You can see the flesh floating around in one of the pics because i think i was moving it around too much. The other pic the water is clearer but the flesh has almost completely fell off. The first pic is of the wet package. And just so noone thinks i'm taking these pics AFTER the package arrived the writing on the bag is from Dang

I want to reiterate again about what Dang pmed me. He said no stores ever does refunds only credit. I agree with that....and also that NO ONLINE STORES EVER GAVE ME RED BUGS.

Honestly if there were no red bugs I would be a lot better about this whole thing, and I would be willing to take up your offer with replacing the frags from your tank. This just really sucks.

Oh yeah this was not a small package. I paid 360 which I know is not a lot of money to some people, but it is a lot to me.

Looking at the tank it appears to me the red bugs (if any) aren't doing much wrong to the tank.

And I can tell you for sure, there are A LOT of reefers that have red bugs and don't know it.

Thanks for the heads up. There are the pics with time stamp and all i guess he will give you credit for them. About Red Bugs its true that the buyer must check them and quaranteen them before they put in DT. But as the seller now know he should do sometime to fix the problem so know one else will get Red Bugs.
Also note its better to get SPS localy or frag swaps because you can see it before you buy it and know you are getting a healthy specimen.

but then again, if i have even a suspicion that I may have any pests, I don't sell anything to anyone

I also have a QT tank that EVERYTHING goes through for 2 weeks before it makes the display tank

No I was not told that there was no refund policy beforehand.

Honestly judging from the brown coloring of some of the frags he sent me i'm pretty sure he noticed them. I just feel like rather than telling me he rather me find out later on my own after he has my money.
