It has 2 separate tanks one for fish and one for the flush. The fish unit can be removed for servicing. However I am not so sure about using it as a SW tank.

I too was laughing. Hilarious! That's an interesting night light for the bathroom. That is if you don't mind that the fish don't have eyelids and dont' care that they prefer a day-light/night-dark cycle.
