ok im praying someone here can help me out
the tank is a 33g (4'x1'x1') FOWLR, mag 7 closed loop and rio 800w/hydro flo
right now theres about 40lbs of lr
tanks been up for 1 month but the tank is an upgrade from a 20L
when i noticed this on the fish the params were :
pH 8.0
NH3 0.05
NO3 ~2.5
NO2~0.05
temp was 83.5

now the description of the ailments
pink skunk - rapid irradic movements, breathing hard
lemonpeel x half black hybrid - few scales missing, frayed pelvic fins, breathing harder than before but not really hard
pinkface wrasse - hard breathing, splotches on pectoral fins, noticed one white dot on caudal fin today

seems like what was on the wrasse is spreading
i dont see these splotches on the other fish
ive had the wrasse for over 6 months and the pink skunk for about 10 and the angel about 2
they were all good even after the move. i noticed these ailments yesterday so i did a water change and now
pH 8.0
NH3 0
NO3 0
NO2 0.05
lighting cycle is on around 11 off at 8 using 2x40W NO bulbs (10k and actinic)
the a/c has been on the fritz so its been on and off but now its completely not working, only fan
so i put a fan on top of the tank blowing on the water and brought the water down to 78.5 and now at 1:50pm its at 79 so im sure it wont fluctuate much now
i use oceanic salt and have been doin water changes every other week about 10-12gal at a time
ive been freakin out since yesterday so
if anyone could help me that would be awesome

thanks
mike

I'm not sure I understand fully yet.

This tank was just set up 1 month ago? You took live rock and substrate from a 20L that was up and running for how long? and put that into the new tank?

All those fish were in the 20L originally? When did the 20L cycle originally? How deep was the substrate in the 20L?

When you setup the new tank:
1) Did you add more rock than what came from the 20L?
2) Did you add more substrate than what came from the 20L?
3) How deep is your substrate and what is it composed of?

How long have you had each of those fishes?
What do you feed them and how often?
What do you use for make-up water?

If I can be clear on the above I may be able to make some suggestions. :)

the tank was up for 8 months prior to moving
the pink skunk ive had for 10 months
the wrasse for 6 and the angel for 2
they were all in the 20L previously with no problems
the 20L was cycled for a little over a month before adding anything
everything in the 33 was from the 20L
there was about 1" of aragonite in the 20L
the 33 is bare bottom
i feed the fish a variety of things
Spectrum thera+a, cyclopeeze freeze dried, omega 1 marine flakes, formula 1 frozen, and enriched daphnia
only one of these a day once a day

Sorry for the troubles.

The symptoms remind me of stressed fish from either a disease or ailment of some kind, or a reaction to the water.

Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢d perform a very large water change (over 80%), taking care to use the best source water (RO/DI or distilled) and making up the salt water with enough mixing and proper adjustments. If the fish seem to respond favorably to this water change, Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢d say they are telling you that the water is bad and they need to get out of there. That would then mean putting them into quarantine or another established aquarium while you investigate what is going wrong.

Be on the lookout for disease while doing the above.

thanks for the input
i was hoping i would get more responses from here since this forum is pretty much the largest but i guess larger isnt better
ill try a water change and see if that helps
thanks for your input
