Donut coral not inflating

I purchased a donut coral on Friday and placed it in my tank. Yesterday he looked great. Well inflated and good color. Today, it is still not inflated. Lighting has been on for about 3 hours. Is it normal for corals to go into a retreat for a while after introductin into a new tank, or do I need to be concerned? Tested all water parameters. Everything seems to be in good shape.

It is normal for corals to stay closed for a while(occasinally for days) when in a new environment.

But what is a "donut" coral?

White fuzz

White fuzz

As the lights start to go out there is some slight inflation of the coral. However as the day has progressed there appears to be a white "fuzz' developing along one side of the coral. It is not inflating at all. Do I need to worry more or will it likely go away as the coral accustomizes itself to the tank?

Thats about as good as its going to get right now. If it is receding tissue, what causes it? and will it stop?

It does look like receding tissue. I know these corals are succeptable to bacteria infections, but to know what is causing it by that picture is almost impossible to tell. You may want to try posting a better pic in the coral forum.
